Drake Buys $15M Texas Ranch, While Kendrick Lamar Eyes $40M Mansion After Feud

Despite Drake not emerging victorious in his highly publicized feud with Kendrick Lamar, the Toronto rapper still has plenty to celebrate. Recently, it was revealed that he purchased an expansive $15 million ranch in Brenham, Texas.

Listing agent Tonya Currie highlighted the rarity of such a property, noting that Drake was fortunate to secure it. “Dos Brisas is a rare legacy ranch property that offered a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for the right buyer,” she told CultureMap Dallas. “We were able to align the price with market conditions at the time.”

This isn’t the first time Drake has hinted at a move to the southern United States. In October 2023, during a performance at the Toyota Center, he shared his excitement about finding a new home in Houston. “I had to make it official first, but I’ve been looking for a long time, trying to figure out where I belong outside of Toronto,” he explained to the crowd. “And finally, after all these years, I found my place in Houston, Texas. So y’all will be seeing me around.”

The sprawling 313-acre ranch was originally constructed in 2000 as a family retreat and was recently converted into a resort. While Drake hasn’t specified when he plans to move in, some fans believe he should consider relocating sooner rather than later. The reason? Following his intense lyrical exchange with Kendrick Lamar, several individuals reportedly appeared at his mansion in Toronto’s Bridle Path neighborhood.

Drake’s decision to invest in Texas might also be influenced by his desire for a change of pace and scenery. The ranch offers a blend of luxury and tranquility, a stark contrast to the bustling city life of Toronto.

With its vast landscapes and serene environment, the property seems ideal for the rapper to unwind and find inspiration for his music.
